Welcome to Pershing Field
Nestled among the residential streets of Jersey City's Heights neighborhood, Pershing Field Park has been a gathering place for generations. Spanning approximately 13.5 acres adjacent to Jersey City Reservoir No. 3, the park offers something for everyone — from competitive tennis and community gardens to Friday morning runs and seasonal skating.
Tennis
Hard courts open to the public, plus organized lessons with Baseline Tennis and a community ladder competition.
Community Garden
Pershing Field Garden Friends maintains thriving garden plots tended by dedicated neighborhood volunteers.
Running
Jersey City Runners meets every Friday at 7 AM — a welcoming 4,100-member club for all paces.
Baseball
Two full baseball / softball fields and a 1/3-mile running track at the center of the park.
History
Dedicated in 1922 and named for General John J. Pershing, the park carries more than a century of Jersey City history.
Pool & Rink
The Charlie Heger Ice Skating Rink and the seasonal swimming pool serve the community year-round.
Memorials
Veterans memorials from WWI through Vietnam honor Hudson County's fallen service members throughout the park.

Pershing Field Park is located at Summit Avenue & Central Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07307 in The Heights neighborhood. Street parking is available along Central and Summit Avenues. The NJ Transit bus lines 10 and 87 stop nearby.
